Rider, Bystander Injured in Motocross Crash at Barona Oaks MX in Lakeside Motorcycle Accident
LAKESIDE, CA (June 10, 2019) – A motocross rider had to be airlifted for medical treatment Sunday after hitting a bystander at Barona Oaks MX.
Just after noon, the Barona Fire Department came to the scene and located two injured men at the 80-acre facility, where riders bring their own ATVs and motorcycles.
The rider in his 40s lost control of his bike during training runs around the track and hit the bystander, who is in his 60s, Barona Fire Capt. Jim Huson said.
Responders flew the rider from the scene while an ambulance transported the bystander.
