Two Hospitalized and Driver Arrested after Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 60
MESA, AZ (September 27, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 60, Friday evening.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the incident happened at about 8:30 PM. An unidentified driver exited Highway 60 at Stapley Drive. There, the vehicle ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a minivan.
Emergency responders rushed two people in the minivan to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Updates on their current condition remain unknown.
The driver of the other vehicle attempted to leave the scene of the crash. However, officers were able to apprehend and arrest the driver. It is unknown whether or not the driver suffered injuries in the collision.
The DPS continues to investigate the cause of the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
