James Cooper Hospitalized After Rear-End Crash on Highway 65 in Saline County

Saline County, MO (October 16, 2024) – 40-year-old James Cooper and a 17-year-old girl sustained injuries in a rear-end crash on Highway 65.

Reportedly, an early morning accident in Saline County caused delays and resulted in minor injuries today. 

The crash occurred at 7:15 a.m. on northbound Highway 65, west of Arbor Drive.

 According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two cars, driven by 21-year-old Andrew Hopper and 40-year-old James Cooper, both of Marshall, were stopped, waiting for a vehicle to turn into a residence. 

A 17-year-old girl from Grand Pass, driving an SUV, rear-ended Cooper’s vehicle, causing a chain reaction between the three vehicles.

Both the girl and Cooper sustained minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Hopper was not injured in the crash.
