Speeding Car Crashes into Guardrail on Highway 99 in Keyes, Injuries Reported
KEYES, CA (May 25, 2019) – Two people were injured following a car accident Saturday morning in Keyes, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 5:52 a.m. on southbound Highway 99 at East Keyes Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a gold sedan was traveling at high speeds when it hit the guardrail.
Firefighters responded to the scene and located the car blocking the first and second lanes of the highway. Two occupants were injured from the crash. One of them suffered major injuries due possible ejection during the crash.
The badly injured patient was taken by ambulance to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto in an unknown condition.
The sedan was towed away from the crash site with major front-end damage and a broken right front tire.
No additional information was provided at this time. The full circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
