2 Injured in Northridge Hit-and-Run Crash, Driver Sought
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 22, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Tampa Avenue at Nordhoff Street early Sunday morning.
The police said the incident involved two vehicles – a dark-colored Mercedes and a red Honda Civic. The Mercedes blew a red light and crashed into a the Honda at the intersection. A nearby surveillance camera captured the incident.
The violent crash injured the driver and passenger of the Honda. As of Monday afternoon, the driver was in critical condition but expected to survive. Additionally, the female passenger is also going to be okay, according to the police.
In the meantime, witnesses said that several people bolted from the Mercedes and fled the scene. The investigators are working to find the driver and anyone else who may have been in the vehicle during the crash.
