2 Hospitalized in Santa Barbara Auto Accident on Highway 101
SANTA BARBARA, CA (August 8, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, two people sustained injuries in a Highway 101 solo crash.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the incident happened at around 3:00 a.m. on Highway 101.
Reports revealed that a white sedan lost control and crashed into a tree for still unknown reasons.
Moreover, firefighters extricated two occupants trapped inside the vehicle. Then, responders transported the sedan driver with critical injuries and a passenger with moderate injuries to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Furthermore, the incident blocked the freeway for an hour but has long since reopened.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
