San Mateo Head-On Crash Injures 2 People
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA (May 27, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a Highway 1 head-on crash Friday afternoon. The crash involving two vehicles happened just south of the Devil’s Slide Tunnel as per the San Mateo County sheriff’s officials.
An alert was issued at 3:12 p.m. Deputies, firefighters, the CHP, and the Pacifica Police responded to the scene.
Emergency responders took two passengers to the hospital with non-fatal injuries. On the other hand, the drivers of both vehicles were uninjured.
In the meantime, authorities reopened Highway 1 in both directions at 4:20 p.m. They closed the highway for over an hour due to the crash.
