Sleeping Residents Injured in Sunnyvale Accident on Murphy Avenue

 
SUNNYVALE, CA (June 22, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, two people sustained injuries after DUI crash on Murphy Avenue.
 
Just after midnight on June 21st, officers came to the 300 block of North Murphy Avenue. Sunnyvale Public Safety Lieutenant Todd Lyons revealed that the speeding driver traveled on Borregas Avenue. However, he lost control of his car and crashed into a house, striking sleeping residents.
 
Sunnyvale firefighters removed one of the injured stuck under the car. Furthermore, responders transported the trapped resident and the driver to the hospital. Fortunately, the hospital released both of them by midday.
 
Furthermore, another resident sustained minor injuries.
 
After the crash, the police detained the driver on suspicion of DUI. Moreover, the police continues to investigate the injury crash. At this time, the police didn’t disclose the identity of the driver.
