Injuries Reported in Shelton Multi-Vehicle Accident on US 101 and West Shelton Matlock Road
SHELTON, WA (October 13, 2022) – Tuesday, two people suffered injuries in a four-vehicle crash on US 101 and West Shelton Matlock Road.
The incident happened at about 5:04 p.m. on US 101 and West Shelton Matlock Road.
According to reports, a southbound vehicle struck two other vehicles, north of West Shelton Matlock Road. As a result, one of the vehicles struck a fourth vehicle.
Meanwhile, two of the vehicles ended up in the first lane. Meanwhile, the two others stopped on the right shoulder.
Also, the authorities closed the right lane for about three and a half hours after the collision.
Officers revealed that a 65-year-old Shelton man drove the vehicle that caused the crash.

Then, responders airlifted him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to the memo. Also, they transported a 42-year-old Shelton man to Mason General Hospital with injuries. Officers confirmed that he drove one of the two vehicles that were first hit.
Meanwhile, a 68-year-old and a 59-year-old who drove separate vehicles suffered no injuries in the crash.
Officers confirmed that all four drivers wore their seatbelts.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the cause of the crash. Furthermore, the authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
