2 Hurt in Lucerne Valley Motorcycle Accident on State Route 18 and Milpas Drive

 
LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (March 24, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, two people suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on State Route 18 and Milpas Drive.
 
The incident happened at around 3:44 p.m. on State Route 18 and Milpas Drive.
 
According to reports, firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District found two motorcycles and two riders in the road.
 
Both patients sustained critical injuries and responders called for two helicopters.
 
Eventually, Reach 13 and Mercy 2 transported the motorcyclists to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Meanwhile, three occupants from the involved vehicle, a white Toyota Camry, suffered no injuries in the crash.
 
Moreover, preliminary reports revealed that the Camry was stopped and waiting to turn left onto Milpas. Then, the riders headed east and couldn’t stop in time. As a result, one of the motorcycles crashed into the back of the vehicle and possibly caused the other bike to go down.
 
Also, authorities shut down Highway 18 in both directions for approximately one hour.
 
Due to the limited information available, the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
