Injuries Reported in Bonita Auto Accident on State Route 125 and San Miguel Road

 
BONITA, CA (October 3, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, two people suffered injuries in a crash on State Route 125 and San Miguel Road.
 
According to some witnesses, a male driver traveled between the No. 1 and 2 lanes east of San Miguel Road. Then, he veered off the freeway and up the right shoulder at around 2:20 p.m.
 
The car went around 40 feet before crashing into the base of an overcrossing. Then, it rolled back down to the highway, blocking the No. 2 lane.
 
Some drivers and a CalFire battalion chief stopped and rendered aid. They successfully freed an injured female passenger and laid her down on the roadway.
 
She sustained major injuries. Meanwhile, the male suffered moderate injuries. Responders took both of them to a local hospital.
 
As the authorities search the vehicle, they located marijuana and prescription pills.
 
Meanwhile, the injured male said that the SUV had bad tires. As a result, he lost control.
 
The crash caused traffic back up to state Route 54.
