Injuries Reported in El Cajon Auto Accident on Interstate 8 and Dunbar Lane
EL CAJON, CA (April 13, 2022) – Tuesday morning, two people suffered injuries in a crash on Interstate 8 and Dunbar Lane.
According to reports, the crash happened just after 8:00 a.m. As the driver traveled on Interstate 8, west of Dunbar Lane, he lost control of his Chevrolet truck. Then, the vehicle fell into an embankment bordering the highway. Afterward, the truck hit a chain-link fence and struck the back of a mobile home at 15593 Olde Highway 80.
After the crash, the 30-year-old male driver from Alpine and the 24-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries. Thus, responders took the driver to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Reports confirmed that both of them wore seatbelts at the time of the crash.
According to reports, the crash pushed the structure back about four feet, displacing the tenants of the home.
Furthermore, authorities ruled out DUI as a factor in the crash.
