THOUSAND PALMS, CA (May 12, 2022) – Tuesday night, two people suffered injuries in a traffic crash on Interstate 10 and Cook Street.
 
The incident happened at around 10:15 p.m. on Interstate 10 and Cook Street exit.
 
According to reports, a vehicle went over an embankment and caught fire. Thus, firefighters responded to the scene.
 
Afterward, responders took two injured patients to area hospitals with moderate to minor injuries.
 
Furthermore, the crash shut down all eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 at the Cook Street exit. Then, the lanes reopened at around 10:15 p.m.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the crash.
