CAJON JUNCTION, CA (January 18, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, two people suffered injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 138 and Interstate 15.
 
The incident happened at 12:46 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 138, east of Interstate 15.
 
According to reports, the crash involved a black SUV that hit a pole. Eventually, it overturned, sustained major damage, and trapped one person underneath.
 
When responders arrived at the scene, they found the overturned vehicle and one person trapped underneath it.
 
At around 1:00 p.m., responders successfully extricated the trapped person with critical injuries.
 
Then, a ground ambulance transported the patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in an unknown condition.
 
Meanwhile, a second ambulance transported another occupant of the vehicle with minor injuries.
 
Moreover, the crash shut down all westbound lanes of Highway 138 for the rescue.
