Injuries Reported in Willits Auto Accident on Highway 101 near Black Bart Drive
WILLITS, CA (February 17, 2022) – On Wednesday, two people sustained injuries in a fiery crash on Highway 101 near Black Bart Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Highway 101 near Black Bart Drive.
Reports revealed that two vehicles collided for still unknown reasons. Then, a semi struck one of the vehicles involved in the initial collision. Afterward, one of the vehicles erupted into flames after the crash.
Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated one person trapped inside a vehicle. Then, paramedics transported the patient to a hospital with major injuries. Also, officials confirmed that a second person sustained unknown injuries but was spotted walking by himself.
Furthermore, the incident blocked all southbound lanes of Highway 101 but has long since reopened.
Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
