2 Hospitalized in Santa Barbara Auto Accident on East Camino Cielo near Painted Cave Road
SANTA BARBARA, CA (December 7, 2022) – Monday night, two people sustained injuries in a solo crash on East Camino Cielo near Painted Cave Road.
The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. on East Camino Cielo near Painted Cave Road.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, Toyota 4Runner lost control for still unknown reasons. Then, it crashed down 150 feet off the roadway over the side of East Camino Cielo in the mountains above Santa Barbara.
Moreover, authorities said that two occupants of the vehicle, a male and a female, managed to extricate themselves from the wreckage. Then, they climbed up the roadway and called 9-1-1. Then, paramedics transported the two patients to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with minor injuries.
