RIVERSIDE, CA (December 28, 2021) – Monday afternoon, two people suffered injuries in a car crash on Airport Boulevard and Arlington Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at around 12:40 p.m. on Airport Boulevard and Arlington Avenue.
 
According to reports, a car and a tractor-trailer crashed at the entrance to Riverside Municipal Airport. As a result, the victims were trapped under the truck and required extrication.
 
Then, multiple engine crews responded to the crash and found the sedan wedged under the side of the semi’s trailer.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the crash led to the investigation.
 
Also, the authorities haven’t identified the two victims in the car. However, officials confirmed that one of the victims was a senior.
 
Meanwhile, the truck suffered no injuries in the crash.
 
After the crash, crews utilized industrial saws and other gear to extricate the occupants of the car for roughly 15 minutes.
 
Then, responders took both victims to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the crash partially shut down the intersection.
