2 Injured in Collision on Hoover Avenue [Indio, CA]

2 Hospitalized in Indio Car Crash

 
INDIO, CA (January 4, 2019) – Early Friday morning, two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Hoover Avenue. The identities of the victims have not yet been released to the public.
 
According to authorities, the accident occurred around 2:00 AM near Monroe Street. As per reports, two vehicles were involved in the collision and no other motorist were involved. The cause of the accident is currently unknown while the investigation continues.
 
Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene and extricated two victims from their vehicle. One occupant was airlifted and the other was transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals. Officials stated they both suffered serious injuries.
 
It is unknown if alcohol and drugs were considered to be contributing factors. There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
