Two Hospitalized after Victor Valley Transit Bus Accident in Phelan
PHELAN, CA (April 15, 2019) – On Monday morning, two people were injured after crashing head-on into a city transit bus accident on Phelan Road.
According to reports, the crash happened around 7:30 AM, near Valle Vista Road. Dispatchers arrived to the area soon after.
Reports indicate a white Ford F-350 and a small Victor Valley Transit Bus were involved. However, the cause of the accident is still currently unknown.
The fire fighters also arrived once they were called to the scene. They stated the driver of the Ford suffered a broken femur as a result of the impact. In addition, the bus driver also suffered injuries. Both victims were later transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for further treatment. However, their current medical condition is unclear at this time.
Authorities stated the bus had no passengers on-board at the time of the collision.
The road was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
