2 Airlifted after Barstow Car Crash on National Trails Highway

 
BARSTOW, CA (August 28, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a car crash on National Trails Highway on August 26.
 
The incident occurred at around 5:55 p.m. and blocked the two-lane highway near Frontier Road for multiple hours.
 
For unknown reasons, a Scion XD and a four-door second sedan crashed in the road. The collision caused the Scion to overturn and land on its side. The Scion also ended blocking the road.
 
Two medical helicopters flew two people to an out of area trauma center.
 
CHP is currently investigating the cause of the collision.
