Vehicle Plows Into Apartment Building in City Heights Accident on Highland Avenue and El Cajon Boulevard
CITY HEIGHTS, CA (August 11, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, two people sustained injuries in a car crash on Highland Avenue and El Cajon Boulevard.
According to reports, a vehicle crashed into an apartment building around 4:35 p.m. The incident happened on Highland Avenue, just south of El Cajon Boulevard.
San Diego Police Officer John Buttle confirmed that the vehicle driver and a female inside the apartment both sustained injuries. Thus, responders took them to hospitals with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the emergency crews confirmed that the female victim suffered a head injury, Buttle said.
Paramedics transported one injured person to UC San Diego Medical Center. Meanwhile, they took the other person to Scripps Mercy Hospital, said Fire-Rescue Department spokesperson Mónica Muñoz.
According to reports, both of them are “acute status” patients. This is a designation that means possible traumatic injuries.
Also, the crash displaced two adults residents.
