2 Hurt in Burien Car Accident
BURIEN, WA (September 4, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a car accident near 128th Street on August 31.
The collision involved two shoplifting suspects who hit a box truck while trying to escape a Safeway.
The driver traveled at a high speed and attempted to turn before colliding into a truck near South 128th Street and the southbound on-ramp to Highway 509.
The passenger from the shoplifter’s vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the driver sustained broken bones. Responders transported them to a hospital.
Meanwhile, a concerned citizen followed the suspects of the other vehicle. It’s unknown whether the two parties know each other.
After the suspects collided, the concerned citizen made a turn and got involved in a minor accident with another vehicle.
No other person sustained an injury.
The crash shut down the eastbound South 128 during the investigation. It has since reopened.
