2 Hurt in Los Angeles Car Accident on 10 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 28, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a car accident on 10 Freeway on August 23.
According to reports, CHP officers chased a fleeing driver on 10 Freeway when the car exited the freeway, crashed and T-boned another car. The vehicle then clipped a sidewalk, struck the still barrier before crashing into a gas pump at the Shell gas station on the 3000 block of South Robertson Boulevard.
The man quickly went towards the sports car’s passenger side while smokes filled the air. Upon the officers’ arrival, an officer runs after the man.
The sports car’s female passenger and the female driver of the other vehicle both went to the hospital. Responders transported the two to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with internal injuries.
As of now, the condition of the sports’ car driver is still unknown. Authorities took him into custody shortly after trying to escape the scene.
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat, the sports car involved, was totaled – badly charred and severely damaged.
The cause of the pursuit is still unidentified as of this time.
