Police Investigate Bus Crash on South Mountain Road in Santa Paula

Santa Paula, CA (April 22, 2022) – Friday afternoon, two people sustained injuries in a bus crash on South Mountain Road and Balcom Canyon Road.

The bus crash in Santa Paula happened at around 2 p.m. on April 22.

Ventura County Fire Department said there were 11 people on the bus at the time of the crash, including the bus driver, nine student-athletes, and a coach.

Emergency crews took the bus driver and two student-athletes to the hospital with minor injuries.

Further investigation to determine why the bus overturned and the circumstances surrounding this incident is ongoing.
