CASTAIC, CA (October 4, 2021) – Sunday morning, two people suffered injuries in a big rig crash on 5 Freeway near Lake Hughes Road.
The incident occurred at about 11:35 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near Lake Hughes Road.
“The collision was a big rig versus a Camry and two people were transported to the hospital,” Ed Pickett with the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The Camry driver possibly drove while impaired. As a result, it crashed with the big rig.
Meanwhile, the incident led to the temporary closure of the No. 3 and 4 lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway.
Also, the authorities haven’t disclosed the extent of the victims’ injury.
