Injuries Reported in Monroe City Auto Accident on Route C
MONROE CITY, MO (December 19, 2024) – Tuesday morning, an alarming single-vehicle crash on Route C injured 2 people.
The incident involving a single vehicle occurred at around 6:55 a.m. on Route C, 10 miles north of Monroe City, Missouri.
A crash involving a 2023 Tesla Model Y resulted in injuries to a woman and a child from Philadelphia, Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The vehicle was traveling eastbound when it veered off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned, sustaining total damage.
The driver, a 33-year-old woman, suffered significant injuries despite wearing a seat belt. She was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by Monroe City EMS. A 5-year-old boy, also from Philadelphia, and a passenger in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries. He was also taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by EMS.
The Tesla was towed by Robert’s Garage & Towing. The Marion County Sheriff’s Department and Monroe City Fire Department assisted at the scene.
