2 Hospitalized in Saugus Crash on Soledad Canyon Road and Bouquet Canyon Road

 
SAUGUS, CA (July 13, 2022) – Tuesday, two people sustained injuries in an accident on Soledad Canyon Road and Bouquet Canyon Road.
 
According to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the SCV Station, the incident happened at around 9:15 a.m. Moreover, the crash occurred at the four corners intersection of Soledad Canyon Road, Bouquet Canyon Road, and Valencia Boulevard.
 
Reports revealed that the incident started when a man exited his vehicle to pump gas, However, the vehicle started to roll back. Then, the driver rushed to re-enter the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle. However, it accelerated backward towards incoming traffic. As a result, oncoming vehicles struck the vehicle and ejected the driver in the process.
 
Eventually, the vehicle ran over its driver moments later.
 
Moreover, responders transported the driver, a 69-year-old man, to a hospital with critical injuries. Also, responders transported another patient to a hospital with major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, officers asked anyone with information about the crash to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Office at 661-260-4000.
