1 Hospitalized after 2-Car Collision in Fontana
FONTANA, CA (January 10, 2019) – On Thursday night, two people were injured in an accident on San Bernardino Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:30 PM near Almond Avenue. As per reports, a 2001 Nissan Xterra collided with the trailer of a semi-truck, however few other details have been released at this time.
San Bernardino County Fire Department stated a female passenger from the Xterra had chest pain and was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the of the Nissan had minor injuries but declined medical treatment. Their current medical condition is unclear at this time.
Authorities claimed the driver of the semi truck came to a stop and cooperated with law enforcement. There has been no further information released regarding the circumstance leading up to the incident at this times. It is unknown if alcohol and drugs were contributing factors in the accident.
