2 Injured in Accident on Phelan Road [Phelan,CA]

1 Hospitalized after Phelan Car Crash

 
PHELAN, CA (January 18, 2019) – On Friday evening around 5:05 PM, two people were injured in an accident on Phelan Road near Smith Road.
 
Authorities stated they received multiple calls about a van and a blue sedan with major damage. Both vehicles were involved in a head-on collision, however the cause of the crash is currently unknown at this time.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department extricated a female passenger from the sedan The victim suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The driver of the sedan was treated on scene for minor injuries. Their current medical condition is unclear at this time.
 
The roadway was briefly closed for cleanup and reopened around 6:00 PM. No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
