Injuries Reported in Sacramento Crash on Interstate 80
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 8, 2020) – Last Friday, two people suffered injuries following an accident on Interstate 80 and Auburn Boulevard.
According to the CHP’s North Sacramento office, at about noon, the officer initiated a traffic stop against a vehicle on the westbound Interstate 80 offramp to Auburn Boulevard.
When they checked, the officer discovered that the person was not in an emergency. Unfortunately, the driver was attempting to sell jewelry, the CHP revealed.
Meanwhile, while the officers cited the driver of the stopped vehicle, another car traveling on the shoulder hit the officer’s patrol vehicle.
Luckily, the officer was uninjured in the second crash. However, the person who struck the patrol car and the passenger both suffered minor injuries.
The accident on Interstate 80 remains under active investigation.
