2 Drivers Hurt in Head-On Collision on Camino Del Rio North [San Diego, CA]

San Diego Police Investigates Wrong-Way Crash on Camino Del Rio North

San Diego, CA (March 4, 2023) – On Thursday morning, a head-on collision on Camino Del Rio North resulted in injuries. 

SDPD says that the wrong-way crash happened at about 11:20 a.m. on Camino Del Rio North just west of Fairmount.

Reports say that a 95-year-old male driver on a westbound 1988 Toyota pickup crossed into the other lane and collided with a 2019 Honda.

Authorities say that the Toyota driver sustained life-threatening injuries and that a 77-year-old woman driving the Honda, complained of pain in her chest.

SDPD is investigating the wrong-way crash on Camino Del Rio North and has not released further details at this time.
