Tragic Vehicle Crash on Highway 532 Kills 74-Year-Old Woman
Stanwood, WA (June 4, 2024) At noon Saturday, a 74-year-old woman was killed and 2 other women were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 532.
According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the tragic crash happened on eastbound Highway 532 east of the bridge to Camano Island.
Reports say that a vehicle driven by the 74-year-old woman veered into oncoming traffic and struck the side of a car, then collided head-on with another vehicle.
Medics immediately rushed the female driver to a hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Meanwhile, the other 2 female drivers, ages 42 and 39, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.
Authorities are investigating the probable cause of the crash and have not released additional information at this time,
