Injuries Reported in Willits Auto Accident on 1400 Main Street

WILLITS, CA (June 19, 2024) – Monday afternoon, two people were hurt in an alarming 2-vehicle crash on 1400 Main Street.

The incident occurred just after 1:00 p.m. in the 1400 block of Main Street in Willits. 

According to reports, one involved party in the collision was unable to move their leg, and another suffered from abdominal pain. An air ambulance was requested to assist with the injuries, leading to the temporary closure of the roadway.

Caltrans District 1 initially issued a road closure advisory around 1:45 p.m., indicating that the road could remain closed until 4 p.m. However, by 2:15 p.m., both the Willits Police Department and Caltrans confirmed that Main Street had been reopened to through traffic.

The quick response from emergency services ensured that the injured parties received necessary medical attention and that the road was reopened promptly to minimize disruption. 

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
