Two People Injured in Traffic Collision near Highway 43
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 1, 2019) – Two people were injured late Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on Stockdale Highway. The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed to the public.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Highway 43, shortly after 4:30 PM. A white Chevy pickup was traveling eastbound when it failed to stop for the stop sign and collided with a northbound Honda.
The occupant of the Honda suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Kern Medical Center for treatment. The Honda driver was also transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Further updates on their current medical conditions were not provided.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
