LONG BEACH, CA (October 4, 2020) – Saturday night, a three-vehicle crash on Campus Drive and Seventh Street sent two people to a hospital.
The incident happened at about 6:00 p.m. on West Campus Drive and East Seventh Street. According to reports, a vehicle didn’t stop at a red light. As a result, his action led to a chain-reaction crash, said Officer Stachowiak with the Long Beach Police Department.
Stachowiak added that the crash happened when a four-door hatchback drove past a red light on West Campus Drive. Then. the vehicle crashed with the vehicle in front of it. Then, a four-door sedan rear-ends them.
According to reports, all three vehicles drove west in the right-hand lane on East Seventh Street when the crash happened.
The collision left the second and third vehicles with severe damage. Meanwhile, the first car sustained minor body damage. The crash didn’t result in any death.
However, responders transported an infant occupant from the first car and an elderly female occupant in the third car. They took both patients to the hospital because of their ages and to receive medical surveillance.
“Everybody’s safe, everybody’s healthy and everything’s fine, just transported for further medical to make sure there are no additional injuries,” Stachowiak added.
