2 Injured in Pasadena Pedestrian Accident on Raymond Avenue
PASADENA, CA (September 13, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Raymond Avenue on September 11.
The crash involved two cars on Raymond Avenue and West California Boulevard. As a result, one vehicle careened into a crosswalk and hit two pedestrians.
The vehicle stopped on top of one of the pedestrians, a very elderly woman.
Meanwhile, Pasadena Police Lt Pete Hettema said that firefighters extricated the woman in her late eighties. Moreover, medical responders transported her to a nearby hospital.
The other pedestrian, a 26-year-old woman, went to a hospital after sustaining scrapes and bruises.
The drivers of the involved vehicles didn’t suffer injuries.
The crash also knocked down a traffic signal. Authorities are still investigating the collision.
The perverse actions of a reckless driver can increase the likelihood of traffic collisions. If you are a pedestrian, bicyclist or driver, pay close attention to the those around you. Always keep a considerable distance from others just in case harm is near.
