2 Injured in Somis Motorcycle Accident
SOMIS, CA (January 29, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized, and traffic was blocked following a motorcycle and car collision on Highway 118 on January 27.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported about 3:35 p.m. on the eastbound 118 Highway, also called Los Angeles Avenue, near La Cumbre Road. The incident was east of the intersection with Highway 34, on a stretch of the highway that lies northeast of Camarillo and west of Moorpark.
The crash was between a motorcycle and a Toyota Camry sedan, the CHP’s Moorpark office revealed. A male driver carrying a female passenger rode the motorcycle. The motorcycle driver suffered pain while his passenger sustained moderate injuries that are non-life-threatening. The two occupants of the motorcycle were transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, CHP officials added.
The Camry’s driver and two passengers were reportedly unharmed, authorities said.
