2 Injured in Eureka Car Crash
EUREKA, CA (August 15, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Myrtle Avenue on August 13.
The incident occurred about 12:50 a.m. in the 2800 block of Myrtle Avenue. According to reports, a Blue Dodge 1500 struck a silver SAAB at a high speed.
The Dodge driver escaped the scene while the Dodge passenger aided the SAAB occupants.
Responders transported two people from the SAAB with unknown injuries.
The CHP incident website revealed that the Dodge 1500 missed the front suspension after the crash.
The incident shut down Myrtle Avenue till 2:45 am between Mitchel Road to Hall Ave while the CHP and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office investigated and Humboldt Bay Fire cleared the roadway.
