2 Hospitalized after Dump Truck Crash on Highway 160 [Rio Vista, CA]

Head Injuries Sustained in Collision near West Sherman Island Road

 
RIO VISTA, CA (August 24, 2018) – Two people were hospitalized Friday afternoon following a dump truck crash on Highway 160. Their names and places of residence were not immediately disclosed to the public.
 
According to California Highway Patrol reports, the collision happened at approximately 2:37 PM, near West Sherman Island Road. A blue dump truck with a blue container was found at the crash scene. Events leading up to the collision are unknown at this time.
 
Two unidentified people suffered head injuries and were taken to the NorthBay VacaValley Hospital for treatment and evaluation. Their injuries were not life-threatening, but there is no update on their current medical conditions. Towing services were conducted to avoid further disruption of the flow of traffic in the area.
