2 Injured in Olympia Car Accident
OLYMPIA, WA (October 8, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries in a car accident on Deschutes Parkway on October 6.
Authorities booked a 21-year-old Aberdeen into the Thurston County Jail on suspicion of vehicular assault. According to WSP, his vehicle collided into a parked van on Deschutes Parkway.
The woman inside the van suffered injuries. Around 2:20 a.m., the Aberdeen man traveled south on Deschutes Parkway, near Lakeridge Drive Southwest, at a high speed.
The man then drove across the center line and struck a tree on the northbound side of Deschutes Parkway. He then collided into a van parked on the shoulder of the road.
As a result, a 42-year-old Aberdeen woman in the van went to Providence St. Peter Hospital with injuries.
Meanwhile, the suspect had a 22-year-old male passenger who also went to Providence St. Peter Hospital.
The incident shut down Deschutes Parkway for more than four hours.
