2 Drivers Killed in Fiery Head-On Crash on West Main Street [Patterson, CA]

Turlock Woman, Patterson Man Killed in Crash on West Main Street Near Jennings Road

Patterson, CA (September 24, 2021) – A fiery head-on crash on West Main Street left two drivers dead on Thursday morning.

The tragic incident happened on September 23 along West Main Street, east of Jennings Road at about 4:50 a.m.

According to the report, a 47-year-old Turlock woman was driving west in a Nissan sedan when it drifted to the oncoming lane. As a result, the Nissan collided head-on with a Ford pickup then, the pickup immediately caught fire. Officers said it became fully engulfed.

Due to the lack of details, it is unclear what caused the Nissan to drift. 

Authorities identified the driver of the pickup as a 69-year-old man from Patterson. They pronounced both drivers dead on the scene. Their names are being withheld pending notification of their next-of-kin.

Furthermore, it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
