Injuries Reported in Paso Robles Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 and Santa Maria River Bridge

 
PASO ROBLES, CA (August 17, 2022) – Early Tuesday, two drivers suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 101 and Santa Maria River Bridge.
 
The incident occurred at 4:24 a.m. on Highway 101 and the Santa Maria River Bridge. Reports confirmed that three vehicles traveled north on Highway 101. However, one vehicle failed to react in time when traffic had stopped. As a result, a chain reaction crash among two other vehicles occurred.
 
According to reports, a sedan and a big rig truck carrying crates of oranges collided. Then, the crash caused a ruptured fuel tank.
 
Meanwhile, Caltrans shut down northbound lanes from Main Street in Templeton to Highway 46 West in San Luis Obispo County.
 
Then, authorities diverted the northbound traffic from Main Street to Ramada Drive in Paso Robles
 
All lanes have since reopened.
 
Officers confirmed that the crash trapped two drivers in the vehicle. Both of them suffered minor injuries and responders took the two drivers to the hospital. Meanwhile, the third driver suffered no injuries in the crash.
