Two Driver Killed in Nicolaus Fiery Crash on Highway 99
NICOLAUS, CA (August 22, 2019) – Two people died following a fiery crash on Highway 99 in Nicolaus on Wednesday, August 21.
According to California Highway Patrol, a truck moved on the southbound lanes of Highway 99 south of Garden Highway. Then it veered into the northbound lane and broadsiding an SUV around 4 p.m.
After that, the truck continued southbound and went off the right-hand shoulder, where it became engulfed in flames.
Both drivers died and there were no passengers in both vehicles, CHP stated.
Officials closed the No. 2 lane on northbound Highway 99 during the investigation. It has since reopened.
No other information was available.
