NEWHALL, CA (August 26, 2020) – Thursday afternoon, two people were detained after a traffic crash on Valencia Boulevard.
 
The crash involving a pedestrian occurred around 12:10 p.m. in the 24280 block of Valencia Boulevard.
 
“The caller said it was in front of the Starbucks, but no transports were made,” revealed Leslie Lua, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
 
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies also received reports of a probable assault with a deadly weapon call in the same area and time.
 
Thus, the deputies administered a containment near Cheryl Kelton Place in Newhall. Afterward, they arrested at least two people.
 
At this time, the circumstances that have led up to the crash remain under active investigation.
