2 Killed in Napa Auto Accident on Highway 29 and Soscol Ferry Road
NAPA, CA (May 25, 2022) – Sunday morning, two people died in a solo vehicle crash on Highway 29 and Soscol Ferry Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 8:05 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Highway 29 and Soscol Ferry Road.
Reports revealed that a southbound 2020 Mercedes-Benz C300 traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it veered onto the right shoulder, side-swiped a parked vehicle, and struck a dirt beam.
Afterward, the force of the crash pushed the vehicle to go airborne before it struck an embankment on the opposite side of the roadway. Also, the crash resulted in a small fire in the area.
Moreover, responders pronounced the 32-year-old driver and his 30-year-old passenger, dead at the scene.
Furthermore, responding firefighters managed to quickly put out the fire caused by the incident.
Meanwhile, the fatal incident closed Soscol Ferry Road for several hours but has long since reopened.
