2 Dead 1 Injured in Big-Rig Crash on Herring Road [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (February 26, 2022) On Friday 2 people died and 1 was hospitalized in a sedan/big-rig crash on Herring Road.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that the fatal collision happened at about 4 a.m. near Old River Road.

Authorities say that a westbound sedan and a southbound semi-truck collided at the intersection of Herring Road and Old River Road.

Moreover, the black sedan ran through a stop sign when a semi-truck struck it.

Police say that the crash overturned the sedan to the shoulder of the freeway.

Meanwhile, 2 of the 3 occupants of the sedan died on the spot, while the 3rd one was gravely injured.

The crash did not hurt the big rig driver.
