Two Killed after Des Moines Head-On Accident on Des Moines Memorial Drive

 
DES MOINES, WA (September 20, 2019) – Two people died and another was injured in a head-on accident in Des Moines Wednesday, September 18.
 
According to Sgt. Ryan Abbott with the King County Sheriff’s Office, at about 8:00 p.m., a car with two men inside traveled on Des Moines Memorial Drive South. Then they crossed into oncoming traffic around South 202nd Street and collided into another car heading the other direction.
 
 
Both men inside the first vehicle died at the scene. Paramedics rushed the woman driving the other vehicle to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She is in critical condition, Abbott stated.
 
Police are still determining what happened in the moments leading up to the incident.
 
Officials blocked the road for several hours during the crash investigation.
 
Neither of the man’s names was immediately available.
