Car Crash into Building in Echo Park Leaves 2 in Critical Condition
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 11, 2019) – Two people suffered critical injuries after a car crash into building in Echo Park Monday night.
The authorities said two vehicles collided around 9 p.m. at Vin Scully Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. The area is near one of the entrances to Dodger Stadium. A vehicle struck a Super 8 motel, hit a fire hydrant, and then slammed into a tree.
Trapped inside the vehicle were two adults. The firefighters extricated both occupants and transported them to a hospital in critical condition.
The other vehicle involved sustained minor damage. Its occupants had no injuries.
Meantime, the firefighters bolstered an awning on the Super 8 to make sure it will not collapse. Building inspectors also responded to the scene to assess the building.
The officials said there were no injuries and no evacuations inside the Super 8. The crash remains under investigation.
