Injuries Reported in Bay Point Auto Accident on Bailey Road and Canal Road
BAY POINT, CA (December 28, 2021) – Sunday morning, two CHP officers suffered injuries in a crash on Bailey Road and Canal Road.
The incident happened at 3:30 a.m. on Bailey Road and Canal Road in Bay Point.
According to reports, officers tried to make a traffic stop on a blue Subaru Outback. However, the Subaru driver escaped and a short pursuit began.
Then, the Subaru stopped while facing the CHP patrol vehicle. Meanwhile, two officers exited the patrol car. However, the Subaru driver suddenly accelerated. Then, it crashed with the two Officers, causing minor injuries to both.
Afterward, the Subaru driver escaped the crash scene. Eventually, the authorities found the later found the vehicle abandoned. Then, the authorities began searching for the driver. However, it was unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, responders transported both officers for treatment, and were subsequently released.
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
