2 Detained after San Diego Accident on Oliver Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 25, 2020) – Saturday morning, authorities arrested two carjacking suspects after a crash on Oliver Avenue.

At 8:45 p.m., a 23-year-old driver of a 2019 Corvette traveled at 700 Hornblend Street. However, an armed suspect entered the passenger door. He went inside the vehicle and pointed the weapon at the victim. The suspect also told the driver to flee, said Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.

Thus, the victim traveled several blocks until the suspect told him to stop the vehicle and get out. The victim then went out and the suspect drove away, Heims added.

Meanwhile, the authorities located the Corvette back at 700 Hornblend Street. They attempted to contact the suspect. However, he escaped and the officers began a pursuit.

The chase ended when the driver crashed into a fire hydrant at 1500 Oliver Avenue.

Then, the authorities arrested two people inside the vehicle, including a juvenile.

Accidents can leave you or your passengers severely injured, disfigured, and permanently disabled. Aside from knowing how to drive safely, it’s also best to know what follows in the event of a car crash.

If you’ve been injured in a crash, the most valuable step you can take in response is to hire a personal injury attorney.

“A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers, an experienced attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
